ASBESTOSIS – A chronic respiratory condition directly attributable to asbestos exposure. Can cause internal respiratory damage that will limit lung function. (See Mesothelioma)

ASBESTOS CANCER – General term for cancers either directly attributable or partly attributable to asbestos exposure. (See Mesothelioma)

ASBESTOS LUNG CANCER – Attributed to asbestos exposure. (See Mesothelioma)

MESOTHELIOMA – The most deadly of asbestos-related health complications. Caused by asbestos fibers which lodge in the mesothelial lining of the body’s internal organs, most commonly in the lungs. There is no known cure for mesothelioma. The only recognized cause of mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos, though other factors such as smoking can make the disease more or less likely in some individuals.

OVARIAN CANCER – The
 symptoms 
of 
ovarian 
cancer 
are 
often
 common 
and 
vague, 
which
 makes 
it 
difficult 
to 
diagnose. 

There 
is
 no 
effective
 early
 detection 
method
 for 
ovarian
 cancer,
 and 
only
 about
 half 
of 
women
 survive 
longer 
than 
five
 years
 after 
diagnosis.
